How it works

Submit the form below using the email address on your HearingApp account.
We email you a confirmation link. This step verifies it is really you — nothing is deleted until you click it.
Once confirmed, your account is locked and permanently deleted within 30 days.
You can cancel any time during those 30 days using the form at the bottom of this page.

Already signed in to the app? You can also delete your account from Profile → Settings → Delete Account.

Deleted permanently

Your account, name, email and login credentials
All noise measurements and exposure history
Daily, weekly and monthly exposure summaries and NIOSH/OSHA dose metrics
Your hearing profile and audiogram results
Hearing screening and tinnitus assessment results
Alerts, notification preferences and calibration settings
Consent records tied to your identity

Retained after deletion

Anonymised research data you previously consented to share. It is stripped of all identifiers and can no longer be linked back to you, so it cannot be individually withdrawn.
Security and access audit logs, which HIPAA §164.312(b) requires us to keep for approximately 7 years. These record that an access occurred, not your health data.

Want a copy of your data first? Export it from Profile → Export Data in the app before deleting.

Request deletion

Cancel a pending deletion request

If you confirmed a request and changed your mind, enter your email below. This works any time within the 30-day window, before your data is removed.

Need help?

If you no longer have access to your account email, contact support@hearingapp.com and we will verify your identity another way. We respond within 24 hours on business days.
